If you ever walked along the harbour of Malaga, apart from cosy markets and wonderful shopping mall you probably have seen a funny colourful cube. Well, this entertaining cube is, in fact, a contemporary art museum, called Centre Pompidou. Let´s talk more about it!
The museum opened its doors officially on the 28th of March in 2015. From the very beginning it offered a large amplitude of collections, excellent programmes and the mix of various artistic disciplines.
A wide route through 20th and 21st centuries is offered by this amazing museum and around 90 works are being displayed. It is a historic route showing the art of our epoch.
It is being renovated very 5 semesters and every year it hosts 2-3 temporary exhibitions.
One has the chance to have an unforgettable experience through some programmes showing multiple disciplines and styles of art – representations, dances, cinema, etc. Thanks to various devices the museum attracts the young public as well.
This is how the “cube” converted into a vibrant installation which invites one to take part in artistic and educating activities and to learn more about the contemporary art. One of its objectives is to reach the great exchange between the society and contemporary creativeness.
In fact, “the cube” is the department of the main Centre Pompidou which is located in Paris, thus it is part of National Centre of Art and Culture of Georges Pompidou in France.
The museum is very famous and well-known. There are even some quotes about it. The architect Charles Jenks, for example, defined the Centre Pompidou once as a “Cultural centre- hedgehog”.
