Vegetarians and Vegans in Malaga

In the past few years the lifestyle of many people has changed due to the new gained consciousness about our food, the food industry in general and how animals are treated. But there are also a lot of other reasons, why people try to eat less meat, being vegetarian or even vegan. They want to take care of their body as well as of the environment.
But our world, even if we make little steps forward, is at this moment not geared for this new lifestyle. Therefore, sometimes it is hard to combine this lifestyle and travelling. But we have good news for you!
Málaga has many nice restaurants and bars that serve completely vegan or vegetarian food and drinks. That’s why we made a selection of some good vegetarian and vegan restaurants for you:

1. La Sociedad Herbívora:

This vegan restaurant offers a conscious kitchen with healthy, rich and sustainable food.
They serve for example following:

– Aubergine roulades with cashew, mushroom, ricotta and sun-dried tomatoes
– Homemade seitan flambe with pepper sauce, roasted potatoes and veggies
– Wild rice with leek, mushrooms, red onions and a creamy massaman curry
– Gluten-free dishes

They are open Tuesday – Saturday 01.00pm – 03.45pm and
07.00pm – 11.40pm and on Sundays 12.00 noon – 03.45pm.

2. Mimo Vegan:

The food is prepared with passion. It is important to the restaurant to use local, sustainable and organically grown products.
In addition, gluten-free dishes are offered.

The menu contains for example:

-fresh juices & smoothies
-green burritos & burgers
-e.g. a hamburger with a bullet made from chickpeas and spinach, served with roasted potatoes

They are open Tuesday – Saturday 01.00pm – 04.00pm and 08.00pm – 11.00pm.

3. PicNic:

This place is for enjoying and relaxing. The products, of which their food consists of, are organic and produced locally. All food is home-made and fresh. They serve for example following:

– Toast with free-range bio eggs
– Vegan tacos
– Various freshly pressed juices.

They are open every day from 08.00am until 12 midnight.

4. Cañadu:

This restaurants offers ecological, varied and delicious vegetarian meals.
On their menu they have for example:

– Salda griega
– Apple and pine nut croquettes
– Aubergine stuffed with mushrooms and nuts
– A wide range of pasta, hot soups and rice dishes and a lot more

They are open Sunday – Thursday 01.15pm – 04.15pm and 07.00pm – 11.00pm and
Friday – Saturday 01.15pm – 04.15pm and 07.00pm – 12 midnight.

5. La Vegana Taperia offers vegan tapas and fresh drinks.

6. El Calafate: e.g. Spinach croquettes, Bean Falafel, hamburger and Chocolate coulant.

For those who just like to have some vegan/ vegetarian options while, beneath the “general” food, we do have also some nice places to go to:

I. Astrid offers biscuit, ice cream and yoghurt with fruits, cereals and nuts.
